EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT APPLE'S NEW IPHONE 14 AND 14 PRO

iPhone 14 is only a few weeks away, but leaks have already revealed much of what to expect. According to early reports, the new handset will include significant new features, improvements, and the removal of some well-known design elements. The phone, along with a slew of other products, will be released by Apple in September. But here's everything we know about the iPhone 14, including a possible date for the big Apple event. According to numerous reports, Apple has finally removed the notch that is cut out of the top of the display in the new devices. Instead, all of the components that are hidden there, such as the facial recognition sensor and front-facing camera, could be placed in a small cutout at the top of the screen, allowing the display to extend all the way up. That redesign could be limited to Pro models only. Rumours suggest that regular iPhones will have the same notch as the iPhone 13. Otherwise, the design is expected to stay largely the same. There may be some tw...

REAL MADRID WILL BEGIN THEIR SEASON AGAINST ALMERIA

Almeria will face a baptism of fire when they return to La Liga on Sunday, when reigning champions Real Madrid visit the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterraneos. The hosts won the Segunda Division last season to return to the top flight, while Carlo Ancelotti's side conquered both Spain and Europe. Fourth place in 2019–20 did not cut it, and the same position in 2020–21 was only good enough to be knocked out by Girona in the promotion playoffs, but Almeria's place in the top tier for the upcoming season could not be denied this time. Under Rubi's guidance, Almeria finished first in the 2021–22 Segunda Division with 81 points, but they only beat Real Valladolid on goal difference and were only one point ahead of Eibar in a tight promotion race. La Union spent seven consecutive seasons in the Segunda Division's doldrums and even flirted with relegation on a couple of occasions, but this weekend's hosts are now preparing for relegation. By bringing in the likes of Kaiky...

CHELSEA WILL PLAY TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR AT HOME FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS 2022/2023 SEASON

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur meet at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon, looking to build on their first weekend victories in the Premier League. Spurs easily defeated Southampton, 4-1, before Chelsea won a close game away at Everton later in the day. Chelsea were vulnerable as they faced Everton at Goodison Park, with the club still looking to move players in and out. Nonetheless, Thomas Tuchel's team prevailed by a 1-0 score, with Jorginho scoring the game's only goal from the penalty spot. There were aspects of Chelsea's performance that would have disappointed their manager, but this was a game where only the final result mattered as Chelsea sought to maintain their lead in the title race. Aside from Marc Cucurella being given a full week with his new teammates, little has changed in terms of new arrivals ahead of this London derby. That said, Tuchel will expect a far more efficient display from his team, who will be aware that they have to develop a ruthless streak ...

FC BARCELONA'S SEASON WILL BEGIN AGAINST RAYO VALLECANO.

Last season, the Catalan giants finished second in the table, 13 points behind champions Real Madrid, while Rayo impressed on their return to Spain's top flight from the Segunda Division, finishing 13th.   Barcelona failed to win a trophy in the 2021–22 season, but the club will be expected to challenge for major silverware this season, especially given their summer business, with a number of statement signings arriving despite the club's ongoing financial problems. Andreas Christensen, Franck Kessie, Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski, and Jules Kounde have all arrived to bolster the squad, while it is believed that Chelsea's Marcos Alonso and Manchester City's Bernardo Silva are still on the club's radar, making it an even more unusual window for the club. However, there has been a lot of nervousness, concern, and pessimism among fans in the last week or so as Barcelona struggled to register their new signings due to their bloated wage bill. However, late Friday night...

BRENTFORD FACES MANCHESTER UNITED.

Manchester United will look to bounce back from their opening-weekend defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion when they face Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday. Last Sunday, the Red Devils were defeated 2-1 at home by the Seagulls, while Brentford came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Leicester City in their season opener. Last weekend, Brentford appeared to be heading for defeat at the King Power Stadium, with Timothy Castagne and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall on the scoresheet for Leicester, who led 2-0 in the 46th minute, but Ivan Toney halved the deficit just past the hour before Josh Dasilva equalised late for the Bees. Thomas Frank's team will now play their first home game of the season, while the rest of the month will see them face Fulham, Everton, and Crystal Palace in the Premier League, as well as Colchester United in the EFL Cup. Brentford were active in the summer transfer market, bringing in Keane Lewis-Potter, Aaron Hickey, Mikkel Damsgaard, Thomas Strakosha, ...

REAL MADRID FACES FRANKFURT IN THE UEFA SUPER CUP

The 47th edition of the UEFA Super Cup pits Europe's most successful club against a team competing for the first time for this trophy. Vincius Jnior scored the only goal as Real Madrid defeated Liverpool at the Stade de France in May. Los Blancos won their 14th Champions League title, with five of them coming in the last nine seasons. It capped off a historic season for Carlo Ancelotti's side, which had also reclaimed La Liga and defeated Barcelona in the Supercopa de Espaa Final. Real have only won La Liga, the European Cup, and another trophy in the same season three times before, in 1957 and 2017. The summer signings, Antonio Rüdiger and Aurélien Tchouaméni, are set to make their debuts at Helsinki Olympic Stadium, hoping to bring the Spanish giants their first silverware. Meanwhile, Eintracht Frankfurt won their first major European trophy since 1980 at the end of last season. The Eagles won the Europa League on penalties after defeating Olympiacos, Real Betis, Barcelona,...

THE JOAN GAMPER TROPHY PITS FC BARCELONA AGAINST PUMAS UNAM.

The Joan Gamper Trophy, also known as the Joan Gamper Cup, was established in 1966, with the Blaugrana inviting Anderlecht from Belgium, Nantes from France, and Koln from Germany to the inaugural event. It had four participants until 1997 Barcelona and three other invitees and consisted of two semi-final ties, a third-place playoff, and a final. The Blaugrana won their first championship, defeating Cologne 3-1 in the final. Due to an increased fixture list, the Joan Gamper Trophy underwent changes in 1997, abandoning the previous format in favour of a one-off match style. Furthermore, there is no extra time in the competition, with a penalty shoot-out deciding the winner if the game is tied after 90 minutes. This tournament has drawn teams from all over the world, including fellow Spanish powerhouses Atletico Madrid and Valencia, as well as South American behemoths Boca Juniors, River Plate, and Santos. In 2017, Barcelona invited Chapecoense to the 52nd Joan Gamper Trophy...

MANCHESTER UNITED STARTS THEIR PREMIER LEAGUE CAMPAIGN IN 2022/23.

Manchester United will be looking to get their Premier League campaign in 2022/23 off to a winning start when they face Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday. The Erik ten Hag era will officially begin at Old Trafford this weekend when Manchester United face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League in what will be the Dutchman's first competitive match in charge. After an abysmal season in which they finished outside the top four and had their lowest ever Premier League points tally, Manchester United were quick to make changes, handing over the first-team reins to Ten Hag, who had previously had great success at Ajax. However, things have not been easy for the Dutch tactician, as the Red Devils continue to struggle. The future of Cristiano Ronaldo has dominated headlines, as has their inability to complete transfer deals. The preseason began with victories over Liverpool, Melbourne Victory, and Crystal Palace, but United then went three games without a win, losing to At...

LA LIGA IS REPORTEDLY REFUSING TO ALLOW FC BARCELONA TO REGISTER THEIR NEW PLAYERS.

Despite having debts of €1.35 billion (£1.16 billion or $1.42 billion) in 2021, the Catalan giants have spent heavily ahead of the new campaign. Barca paid for the transfers by selling a portion of the club's television rights and a 25% stake in Barca Studios, but they will only be able to register their new players if they meet La Liga's financial fair play criteria. The Camp Nou has had a busy transfer window, with the Catalans spending big on striker Robert Lewandowski, who arrived from Bayern Munich for a fee of €50 million (£42m/$51m). Raphinha, a Brazilian winger, has also joined from Leeds United for an initial fee of €59 million (£50 million or $59 million), while Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde has become the club's latest signing. According to Colin Millar of the Mirror, La Liga has rejected Barcelona's attempts to sign five new players: Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Jules Kounde, Franck Kessie, and Andreas Christensen. They have also been unable to registe...

UTILITY TARIFFS ARE EXPECTED TO GO UP EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1, THIS YEAR.

Utility rates are set to rise next week for the first time since 2017. This comes after the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) conducted nationwide consultations on utility company proposals. According to a source familiar with the stakeholder consultations, the PURC engaged identifiable groups and relevant sections of the public in addition to the public fora across the 16 regions and had considered all sides of the arguments in arriving at appropriate tariffs. The new tariffs will not be uniform, which means that the rates will be determined by the utilities' reasons and proofs, as well as the commission's verification. According to another source, the tariffs that will be announced do not include taxes. In May of this year, the utility companies presented proposals to the PURC based on the regulator's guidelines. While the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) proposed a 300% increase over its current tariffs, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) proposed a...

Chelsea are set to hijack the Cucurella's move to Manchester City.

Chelsea has entered the Cucurella race. City are interested in the 24-year-old left-back but are unwilling to meet the Seagulls' £50 million asking price, allowing rivals to pounce. The Blues are prepared to do so and are in discussions with Cucurella, though no agreement has yet been reached between the two Premier League clubs. Chelsea's desperate search for defenders has led them to attempt to derail Manchester City's bid to sign Marc Cucurella from Brighton. City have refused to meet Brighton's £50 million valuation for Cucurella, opening the door for Chelsea to hold their own talks. Cucurella is said to be open to joining Chelsea despite his desire to join Manchester City, and Brighton have already begun looking for replacements. Although Chelsea already have a £50 million left-back in Ben Chilwell, as well as Barcelona targets Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmeiri, Cucurella is seen as a potential solution to some of the club's defensive issues. Head coach Thomas...

A POSSIBLE EXTENSION OF THE SIM RE-REGISTRATION EXERCISE DEADLINE

The Ministry of Communication and Digitalisation (MoCD) will engage and consult with key stakeholders as well as all telecommunications companies to determine whether or not to extend the recent SIM card registration exercise. With only less than 48 hours until the second deadline, which was extended from March 31 to July 31, 2022, some Ghanaians are still calling for an extension, possibly until the end of the year. Mrs. Owusu-Ekuful, speaking to the B&FT on the sidelines of the launch of the Tertiary Digital Innovation Programme to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the Ghana Digital Centres (GDCL) in Accra, said: "We'll engage all stakeholders and all telecom companies on the matter." The deadline remains unchanged until then. According to current NIA data, slightly more than 16 million people have registered for the Ghana Card, an access card that allows SIM card registration. According to the data, it appears that more people have yet to register their SIM c...

A critical juncture in Barcelona's pursuit of Bernardo Silva According to 'L'Equipe,' Manchester City has caved and is ready to begin talks with their player. Bernardo Silva's situation has changed. Manchester City have made moves to sign Lucas Paqueta while also opening the door to negotiations for the Portugal international. However, it is no secret that Xavi Hernandez holds high regard for the midfielder, and as such, he is looking for a top-tier player to replace the Dutchman. This is where Bernardo Silva enters the picture. The Portuguese international is one of Xavi's favourite players, and the Barcelona manager sees him as an ideal partner for Pedri in the interior midfield position. As a result, Barcelona is actively looking for a way to sign Bernardo Silva, especially after today's revelation that Manchester City is willing to sell the midfielder for around €80 million. Barcelona are reportedly one of two clubs that have been given the opportuni...

Chelsea are beaten to Jules Kounde by ambitious Barcelona

Barcelona are reportedly set to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla during the current transfer window, following another intense battle with Chelsea. The 23-year-old has been Xavi's top target to bolster his backline this summer. Chelsea, on the other hand, had been pushing hard and were thought to have reached an agreement with Sevilla, only for the Blaugrana to claw their way back into the race, as they did with Raphinha. According to reports, Kounde's arrival at Camp Nou could be imminent, with Barça having agreed to a €60 million deal with Sevilla, as well as terms on a four-year contract with the French international. If signed, Kounde will be another excellent signing for the Blaugrana, adding to Xavi's defensive roster heading into the new season. The Premier League club thought they had a deal in place for the France international this summer. They had agreed to pay Sevilla's £55 million valuation for a five-year contract. Barcelona, on the other hand, has been ...

Eating well to lose weight

Food dependence is tough to break because it’s impossible to prevent food. Still, one of the greatest strategies is to prevent overexposure to palatable foods by eating a good, balanced diet that’s rich in natural, raw foods. Eating a balanced diet and understanding these warning signs of food dependence can help you to do this quickly if you think about the question. So before you pretend you have an emotional consumption issue, consider the time. Have you been dieting, limiting calories or avoiding specific nutrients? Do you overexercise to pay for your consumption or to lose weight? Do you prevent nutrients even though you desire them? If yes, so the question is not "emotional consumption." These four important elements to losing weight by consuming like a thin individual are: (1) consuming in reaction to the substance’s desire signals; (2) eating what your body wants—there are no forbidden foods; (3) eating mindfully without distractions so you can really savour your ...

Chelsea are now extremely confident in signing Sevilla's Jules Kounde. London is aware. Barcelona is also interested in the 23-year-old, but the Catalan club is said to be unable to match the Blues' £55 million bid from earlier this week. Chelsea and Sevilla agreed on a £55 million fee for Kounde earlier this week, with personal terms agreed on a few months ago. However, Barcelona is determined to hijack the deal, but they may be forced to give up because they are unable to match Chelsea's bid, according to a source at football.london.
