Bernardo Silva is the target for Barcelona.

A critical juncture in Barcelona's pursuit of Bernardo Silva According to 'L'Equipe,' Manchester City has caved and is ready to begin talks with their player. Bernardo Silva's situation has changed. Manchester City have made moves to sign Lucas Paqueta while also opening the door to negotiations for the Portugal international. However, it is no secret that Xavi Hernandez holds high regard for the midfielder, and as such, he is looking for a top-tier player to replace the Dutchman.

This is where Bernardo Silva enters the picture. The Portuguese international is one of Xavi's favourite players, and the Barcelona manager sees him as an ideal partner for Pedri in the interior midfield position. As a result, Barcelona is actively looking for a way to sign Bernardo Silva, especially after today's revelation that Manchester City is willing to sell the midfielder for around €80 million.

Barcelona are reportedly one of two clubs that have been given the opportunity to sign the former AS Monaco starlet, though the Catalans may struggle to fund the move.

According to "L'Equipe," Pep Guardiola's team is willing to listen to offers for Bernardo Silva. Any club interested in him, however, will have to pay top dollar because he is currently one of the City's most prized possessions. The addition of Paqueta to the mix means that Barcelona's pursuit of Silva has taken on new life. The player has reportedly stated that he wishes to play for the club from the Camp Nou and has requested that his current club negotiate a deal that is satisfactory to all parties involved.

Paqueta has been one of Olympique Lyon's revelations in the last year, and rumours are now linking him with a move to the Etihad. However, he and Silva are similar players, and the English club would have to sell to facilitate this transaction. City, on the other hand, will not make Bernardo's exit easy. However, the fact that Barcelona have gotten their foot in the door is a step in the right direction. City were previously unwilling to negotiate in relation to Silva, but now, thanks to Paqueta, it appears that they are willing to listen to reasonable offers. Bernardo Silva would be the cherry on top of Barcelona's summer transfer business. This is despite the fact that they have already signed Robert Lewandowski and Jules Kounde.

Bernardo, 27, had a much better season under Pep after struggling the previous year. Silva has been offered by both Real Madrid and Barcelona, despite the fact that, according to his former Benfica coach, Helder Cristovao, the player's childhood dream was to play for Barça. He believes his style of play would be ideal for Barcelona.

Barcelona would love to have Silva on their team, but Mendes knows that bringing Bernardo Silva to the club is only an option if Frenkie De Jong leaves. Barcelona needs Frenkie De Jong to leave in order to pursue Silva, and it could be a while before anything significant happens in that regard. Bernardo Silva was rumoured to be leaving before the start of last season, and it appears that he is trying to force his way out once more.

THE JOAN GAMPER TROPHY PITS FC BARCELONA AGAINST PUMAS UNAM.

The Joan Gamper Trophy, also known as the Joan Gamper Cup, was established in 1966, with the Blaugrana inviting Anderlecht from Belgium, Nantes from France, and Koln from Germany to the inaugural event. It had four participants until 1997 Barcelona and three other invitees and consisted of two semi-final ties, a third-place playoff, and a final. The Blaugrana won their first championship, defeating Cologne 3-1 in the final. Due to an increased fixture list, the Joan Gamper Trophy underwent changes in 1997, abandoning the previous format in favour of a one-off match style. Furthermore, there is no extra time in the competition, with a penalty shoot-out deciding the winner if the game is tied after 90 minutes. This tournament has drawn teams from all over the world, including fellow Spanish powerhouses Atletico Madrid and Valencia, as well as South American behemoths Boca Juniors, River Plate, and Santos. In 2017, Barcelona invited Chapecoense to the 52nd Joan Gamper Trophy...

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT APPLE'S NEW IPHONE 14 AND 14 PRO

iPhone 14 is only a few weeks away, but leaks have already revealed much of what to expect. According to early reports, the new handset will include significant new features, improvements, and the removal of some well-known design elements. The phone, along with a slew of other products, will be released by Apple in September. But here's everything we know about the iPhone 14, including a possible date for the big Apple event. According to numerous reports, Apple has finally removed the notch that is cut out of the top of the display in the new devices. Instead, all of the components that are hidden there, such as the facial recognition sensor and front-facing camera, could be placed in a small cutout at the top of the screen, allowing the display to extend all the way up. That redesign could be limited to Pro models only. Rumours suggest that regular iPhones will have the same notch as the iPhone 13. Otherwise, the design is expected to stay largely the same. There may be some tw...
