Justin Frimpong Kodua has taken John Boadu to the gutters.

Justin Frimpong Kodua unseats the incumbent General Secretary, John Boadu. JFK, who came from the Asanti region, had taken the seat from John Boadu. However, Justin Frimpong Kodua, a lawyer, defeated him, winning nearly all polling places, including all in the Ashanti Region.

According to preliminary results, Justin Kodua has over 500 more votes than John Boadu.

Justin Frimpong Kodua (JFK) is the CEO of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA). He formally announced his intention to run for the position of New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary in March of this year, despite being considered a long shot. Justin Kodua Frimpong was able to unseat John, and while the victory is sweet, it sends a strong message to all politicians. All those who made sacrifices for the newly elected general secretary must not be forgotten. The youth employment agency's chief executive officer has a new office to fill, and he must make sure he delivers. According to the rules of the electoral process, votes are counted to determine the winner, and John Boadu received 2,524 of the total ballots cast, compared to Justin Kodua's 2,837. The difference between the two was only 333 votes.

Justin Frimpong Kodua, Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), has defeated incumbent General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party to become the governing party's new chief scribe. Mr. Kodua was elected during the NPP's National Delegates Conference, which was held at the Accra Sports Stadium.

He received 2,837 votes, while John Boadu received 2,524 votes.

Mr. Boadu was followed by former Tamale Metropolitan Assembly Mayor Iddrisu Musah, who received 104 votes, Frederick Opare Ansah, who received 50 votes, and Ramseyer A. Agyeman-Prempeh, who received only 8 votes.

Justin Frimpong Kodua (JFK) is a corporate and commercial litigation and arbitration specialist with a particular interest in land disputes and asset management.

Prior to his appointment as YEA CEO, he was the New Patriotic Party's Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer (NPP).

He graduated from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology with an LLB and the Ghana School of Law with a Barrister of Law. Justin Frimpong Kodua graduated from the same university with a Bachelor of Science in Land Economy.

John Boadu is the General Secretary of the governing NPP and the longest-serving National Officer of the NPP in history. He obtained a GCE Advanced Level Certificate from the Opoku Ware Secondary School in Kumasi and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting option) from the University of Ghana.

He is the only man who has held virtually every position at the party headquarters, with the exception of Nasara, Women Organizer, and National Chair positions. He's been National Finance Officer, National Youth Treasurer, National Youth Organizer, National Communications Director (Deputy), National Organizer, and now General Secretary.

Prior to his rise to the national level, he served the party well at the grassroots, from Polling Station Chairman, to Constituency Secretary, to Regional Research and Elections Officer. However, the Electoral Commission has not yet made the official, final results public. Before the competition, John Boadu, who had previously come across as overconfident, told the press he would win.

According to Joseph Osei-Owusu, who spoke exclusively to JoyNews, the Clerk must write to the Electoral Commission (EC) to declare Adwoa Safo's seat vacant, followed by a bye-election. This was in response to Ms. Safo's refusal to respond to the Committee's invitation to explain why she was absent from Parliament for 15 consecutive sittings last year. Despite attempts by the Privileges Committee to contact Adwoa Safo, the Committee's Clerk "made it abundantly clear that you cannot say for certain that the correspondence that the Parliament sent to her reached her," he said. He went on to say that accordin...
