ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI SAID GOODBYE TO BAYERN TEAMMATES

Fabrizio Romano confirms that, after months of rumours, chatter, and speculation, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have finally agreed on a deal for Robert Lewandowski's transfer.

Barcelona have been monitoring the 33-year-old striker for months, and Poland's captain is also looking for a new challenge in his career. Personal terms had been agreed upon months ago between the striker and Barça, but an agreement with Bayern Munich had been missing as the German champions insisted that the ace goalscorer was not for sale. After rejecting three previous bids, the Bavarian giants have recently begun to warm up to the deal and have decided to accept Barça's latest offer.

The deal is worth €50 million, including add-ons, according to multiple reports from Spain, Germany, and the transfer guru himself, Fabrizio Romano, with Lewandowski refusing to negotiate with Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, who were also interested in signing the 33-year-old Poland captain, and Barcelona have reached an agreement on the transfer of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski to the Catalan club.

Lewandowski had one year left on his contract with Bayern Munich and had informed the German champions that he would not sign a new one; Lewandowski will fly to Spain on Saturday for a medical before signing a three-year contract; Julian Nagelsmann's side is interested in signing Matthijs de Ligt.

On Saturday, he will fly to Spain for a medical before signing a three-year contract with a 12-month extension option. The Poland international had one year left on his contract with Bayern and had informed the club that he would not be renewing it.

Until now, the German champions have maintained that Lewandowski is not for sale, having turned down a €40 million (£33.8 million) offer from Barcelona last month. According to Sky Italia, Lewandowski's departure would help Bayern finance the signing of Matthijs de Ligt from Juventus, who are asking for around €80 million (£67.7 million) plus bonuses. According to the most reliable sources connected to both clubs, the deal has been closed for 45 million euros, with an additional 5 million to be added.

Bayern Munich verbally accepted an increased offer of up to €50 million (£42.5 million) for Robert Lewandowski, who will join Barcelona this weekend. On Friday, negotiations broke down, with Bayern now willing to let their star striker leave for a fee of up to €50 million, including add-ons. Lewandowski signed a three-year contract with Barça after agreeing to personal terms in February.

After expressing his desire to leave the Bundesliga champions with a year left on his contract, the Pole was linked with Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain. Lewandowski, on the other hand, refused to talk about a possible transfer to any other club and now appears to have secured his desired move to the Camp Nou. Despite Xavi's reported financial difficulties, Lewandowski's arrival will add to a busy summer of recruitment for Xavi's side. Raphinha, a Brazilian winger, joined Franck Kessié and Andreas Christensen on Friday, who were out of contract at AC Milan and Chelsea, respectively. Lewandowski, who joined Bayern Munich from Borussia Dortmund in 2014, has amassed an incredible record.

THE JOAN GAMPER TROPHY PITS FC BARCELONA AGAINST PUMAS UNAM.

The Joan Gamper Trophy, also known as the Joan Gamper Cup, was established in 1966, with the Blaugrana inviting Anderlecht from Belgium, Nantes from France, and Koln from Germany to the inaugural event. It had four participants until 1997 Barcelona and three other invitees and consisted of two semi-final ties, a third-place playoff, and a final. The Blaugrana won their first championship, defeating Cologne 3-1 in the final. Due to an increased fixture list, the Joan Gamper Trophy underwent changes in 1997, abandoning the previous format in favour of a one-off match style. Furthermore, there is no extra time in the competition, with a penalty shoot-out deciding the winner if the game is tied after 90 minutes. This tournament has drawn teams from all over the world, including fellow Spanish powerhouses Atletico Madrid and Valencia, as well as South American behemoths Boca Juniors, River Plate, and Santos. In 2017, Barcelona invited Chapecoense to the 52nd Joan Gamper Trophy...

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT APPLE'S NEW IPHONE 14 AND 14 PRO

iPhone 14 is only a few weeks away, but leaks have already revealed much of what to expect. According to early reports, the new handset will include significant new features, improvements, and the removal of some well-known design elements. The phone, along with a slew of other products, will be released by Apple in September. But here's everything we know about the iPhone 14, including a possible date for the big Apple event. According to numerous reports, Apple has finally removed the notch that is cut out of the top of the display in the new devices. Instead, all of the components that are hidden there, such as the facial recognition sensor and front-facing camera, could be placed in a small cutout at the top of the screen, allowing the display to extend all the way up. That redesign could be limited to Pro models only. Rumours suggest that regular iPhones will have the same notch as the iPhone 13. Otherwise, the design is expected to stay largely the same. There may be some tw...

Last Sunday, the Red Devils were defeated 2-1 at home by the Seagulls, while Brentford came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Leicester City in their season opener. Last weekend, Brentford appeared to be heading for defeat at the King Power Stadium, with Timothy Castagne and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall on the scoresheet for Leicester, who led 2-0 in the 46th minute, but Ivan Toney halved the deficit just past the hour before Josh Dasilva equalised late for the Bees.
